AcadiaPOS Knowledge Base - Select Order Types on Front End

When adding items to the cart, employees have the option to select the type of order that the customer is placing. Popular examples are "For Here" and "Takeout."

First, you'll need to enable order types:

Go to Settings in the main navigation bar.
Select the General Settings tab.
Scroll down to Order Types and Attributes.
Under ENABLE ORDER TYPES, select Enabled.
Scroll down and press Save.

Next, enter the order types you want:

Go to Settings in the main navigation bar.
Select the General Settings tab.
Scroll down to Order Types and Attributes.
Under ORDER TYPES(COMMA-SEP.), enter here, togo, delivery, and/or online. Separate with commas.
Next under ORDER TYPE LABELS(COMMA-SEP.), enter the Labels for those order types. Enter them in the same order they are entered in the field under ORDER TYPES(COMMA-SEP.). Separate with commas.
Scroll down and press Save.

Lastly, you can make Order Type selection appear at the beginning of the transaction:

Go to Settings in the main navigation bar.
Select the General Settings tab.
Scroll down to Order Types and Attributes.
Under PLACE ORDER TYPE SELECTION AS FIRST SCREEN, select Enabled.
Scroll down and press Save.
