When reusing certain Star Micronics or Epson cash drawers from your previous POS solution, you can run into issues with getting your cash drawer to pop open. One cause might be that the drawer might need a stronger trigger to prompt it to open. A simple solution to this is to increase the number of milliseconds the POS triggers the cash drawer for.
1. Go to Settings.
2. Select General Settings.
3. In the Accessibility Settings section, you need to enter the # of milliseconds you want the drawer to be triggered for. Enter this value in the field under STAR/EPSON CASH DRAWER MS.
4. Scroll down and press Save.
