Require Customer Assignment for Specific Categories

Require your POS users to assign a customer when adding products from a specific category.

Part 1: Locate the Category ID

  1. Go to Items.

  2. Press View Categories in the upper right corner.

  3. Locate the category you want to enable this setting for.

  4. To the left of the category name is the category ID number. Take note of this number.

Part 2: Set the Customer ID

  1. Go to Settings in the left navigation menu.

  2. Select the General Settings tab.

  3. Scroll down to Customers.

  4. Under FORCE CUSTOMER ASSIGNMENT FOR CATEGORY IDS, enter the category ID. If you are entering multiple IDs, separate each ID with a comma. Do not include a space.

  5. Scroll down and press Save.
