Credit Card Payment Method Settings (App)

Modify the settings for the credit card payment method.

  1. Go to Settings.

  2. Select the Payment Methods tab.

  3. Scroll down to Credit Cards and press the edit icon to the right.

  4. Adjust the settings to your preference.

  5. Scroll down and press Save Changes.


CREDIT CARD PAYMENT METHOD SETTINGS OPTIONS

  1. METHOD NAME:  Name of the payment method.

  2. METHOD STATUS:  Disabling this payment method will hide it from the user during the checkout process.

  3. SHOW DELETE BUTTON ONLY ON ERROR:  Show delete button next to payment method when a card payment fails.

  4. ALLOW DEBIT:  Allow debit card transactions.

  5. ALLOW EBT:  Allow EBT transaction.

  6. ALLOW TIP ADJUST:  Give specific employees permission to adjust tips on orders or disable this feature for all employees.

  7. SET ORDER AS TAX-FREE ON EBT PAYMENT:  Default order to tax-free when a customer pays with EBT method.

  8. TIP CATEGORY FILTER(COMMA-SEP.):  Allow tips to only be collected for specific categories. Enter the categories in the field below the tip category and separate them with commas.

  9. FEE PRODUCT ID:   Use for surcharging and cash discount.

  10. ENABLE BILL SPLIT:  Allow customers to split payments.

  11. ENABLE PULL FROM TERMINAL BUTTON(APP):  This is used in the extremely rare case where the internet is disconnected or there was a network issue in the middle of a credit card transaction and you were not able to get the success message. Connectivity issues can also happen if a merchant has many wifi networks saved and the system connects to a different network. If you fix the network issue or it fixes on its own, and you know that there was a successful transaction that went through on the chip reader but it’s not reflecting in the POS, you can press the PULL button. This will query the chip reader and pull the transaction from the reader so you can submit the transaction in the POS.

  12. ALLOW BATCH CLOSING
    If you enable this, a 'Close batch' button will appear in the Settings tab in the app.
