Location Specific Taxes

If you are a multi-location business, it might be necessary to have location-specific tax rates set up. To make this process seamless, you can create custom location tax rates.

  1. First, you’ll need to add all the locations. Once the locations are created, you can begin to create the location-specific tax rates.

  2. Go to Items.

  3. Press Taxes in the upper right corner.

  4. Press + New Tax.

  5. Enter the name of the tax class under TAX CLASS NAME.

  6. Select how you want the tax to be applied to the items under TAX TYPE.

  7. Under TAX STATUS, select Enabled or Disabled.

  8. Press Open Custom Location Rates.

  9. Under each location, enter the unique tax rates for that location.

  10. Press Save Changes.
