2. Press % Taxes in the upper right-hand corner.
3. If you are setting up a new tax class, press + New Tax in the upper right corner.
4. OR, If you are modifying an existing tax class, press the edit icon to the right of that tax class.
5. Enter the TAX NAME and TAX PERCENTAGE.
6. Select the type of tax from the dropdown menu under TAX TYPE.
7. Select Enabled or Disabled from the dropdown menu under TAX STATUS.
8. Enter the tax breakdown in the field under TAX BREAKDOWN. This is a useful tool if you plan on keeping track of the different taxes (city, state, beverages etc).
9. Press Open customer group rates to add special tax rates for specific customer groups. In order to do this, you must first create a customer group.
10. Fields will appear listing out the different customer groups and you can enter the special tax rate under that customer group name.
11. If your business is multi-location and those locations have unique tax rates, press Open customer location rates.
12. Fields will appear listing out the different locations and you can enter the unique tax rates under those locations.
13. Press Save Changes.
