Customize Product Sort Order for Web

    Manage the order that products appear on the website from the POS.

    Create Web Sort Order Attribute

    1. Go to Items.

    2. Press the Custom Attributes button in the upper right corner.

    3. Press + Add New Attribute in the upper right corner.

    4. Under ATTRIBUTE CODE, you must enter web_sort_order.

    5. Under ATTRIBUTE NAME, name it Web Sort Order.

    6. Under CUSTOM ATTRIBUTE TYPE, choose Product attribute / string from the dropdown menu.

    7. Under FRONTEND INPUT TYPE, choose Text from the dropdown menu.

    8. Under UI COLUMN SIZE IN POS, enter a 2.

    9. Do not select anything under SHOW ON QUICK UPDATE FORM.

    10. Press Save Changes.


    Edit the Web Sort Order of a Product

    1. Go to Items.

    2. Locate the product you want to change the sort order of.

    3. Press the edit icon to the right of that product.

    4. In the pop-up window, under Web Sort Order, enter the number corresponding to the place you want that product to appear on the site. So if you want a product to appear 1st, enter the number 1.

    5. Scroll down and press Save.


    Change the Sort Order Setting on the eCommerce Category Page

    1. On the website, Press the edit icon in the upper left corner.

    2. Scroll down to the area where the product grid is.

    3. Press on it and select Edit Block.

    4. Under Sort Order, select Group Sort Order.

    5. Scroll down and press Save.

    6. Press the edit icon on the upper left corner again. 

    7. Press Publish Changes.
