Create the Expiration Date Attribute

    Depending on what type of products you sell, it might be necessary for you to keep track of expiration dates.

    1. Go to Items in the main navigation menu.
    2. Select "Custom Attributes" in the upper right-hand corner
    3. Press the + New product Attribute button to create a new custom attribute. (Note; you can also edit previous custom attributes from this window)

    4. Create/Edit your Custom Attribute using the below information
    • Enter expdate into the field under ATTRIBUTE CODE.
    • Enter the attribute name under ATTRIBUTE NAME ("Expiration Date" in this example)
    • Choose Product attribute / string from the dropdown menu under CUSTOM ATTRIBUTE TYPE.
    • Select Date under FRONTEND INPUT TYPE.
    • Enter 2 in the field under UI COLUMN SIZE IN POS.
    • Select Enabled under SHOW ON QUICK UPDATE FORM.
    • Press Save Changes.
    5. The Expiration Date field will now show on all items

    Apply an Expiration Date to the product(s).
